How To Do The Cross Over Walking Exercise To Improve Your Coordination And Balance

Benefits Of Cross Over Walking

This balance exercise improves our coordination. It can be performed almost anywhere, and is an excellent addition to any fitness routine.

Tips

Do this exercise in a hallway or other area where you can stroll at least 10 feet without any obstructions. It is ideal to use firm flooring such as flooring without carpeting or low-pile carpet.

Workout Procedure

  1. Stand up straight at the end of the hallway
  2. Keep your ab muscles tight, and your chin tucked in
  3. As you start walking, place one foot in front and to the opposite side of the other foot
  4. As your feet go in front and then sideways with each step, your body will continue to go straight forward
  5. When you reach the end of the hallway, stand normally and turn around
  6. Repeat this procedure 5 to 10 times
