This shoulder exercise strengthens the muscles that enable you to raise your arms forward. This dumbbell exercise will improve your ability to carry things, and is an excellent addition to any fitness routine.

Tips

Workout Procedure

  1. While standing or sitting, hold the dumbbells with your arms straight down and palms facing your thighs
  2. Keep your back straight with your neck aligned with your spine
  3. Breathe in
  4. As you breathe out, lift your arms up to shoulder level with your elbows slightly bent

  5. As you breathe in, lower your arms back to the starting position
  6. Do 8 to 12 repetitions
  7. Perform this exercise 3 times a week, every other day
