This triceps exercise is one of those arm workouts that strengthen and firm those muscles in the back of your upper arm, and is an excellent addition to any fitness routine. This dumbbell exercise improves your ability to push open doors, and push yourself out of a chair.

Tips

  • This exercise can be done using either a Pilates Mat or an Exercise Bench

  • Workout Procedure

    1. Lie on a Pilates Mat or an Exercise Bench with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor
    2. Holding the dumbbells extend your arms straight up over your chest with your palms facing inward
    3. Bend your elbows and lower your hands until they are next to your ears
    4. Squeeze your triceps to straighten your arms back to the starting position
    5. Keep your elbows steady during this exercise
    6. Repeat this procedure for 8 to 12 repetitions
